PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Another round of destructive weather producing thunderstorms with strong rain and winds rolled through parts of Armstrong County late Tuesday afternoon.
Mike Gelormino told KDKA News: “Oh, the wind — it was atrocious, it was scary.”
“I mean, I don’t know, I’ve never experienced something like this before.”

At a small camp ground along the Allegheny River in Rayburn Township, Armstrong County, a camper was heavily damaged when a tree toppled over.
Fortunately, no one was in the camper at the time.
Dallas Travers is the owner of the camper. He lives near New Castle, but got a call from a friend about the damage.
“This is my camper, it’s about 22 years old,” he said.
“It looks like we’ll be in the business of shopping for a new camper.”

Crews from West Penn Power were busy as they were out repairing damaged lines and downed utility polls.
In the Borough of Dayton, there was more storm damage when winds snapped tree branches.
When they fell, they punched holes in the roof of a home, and the powerful winds damaged part of the home’s chimney.
Lisa Blystone, a neighbor who was helping in the cleanup, told KDKA News: “It just was raining and wind just knocked the tree down on the house and the car.”
“It was really windy though.”
Blystone said she was happy her neighbors, who were home when the storm hit, were not injured.
Rachele Mongiovi also covered storm damage in Sharpsburg where trees fell.
Trees that uprooted fell onto several parked cars.
Police say they can’t do anything until the business owner arrives tomorrow.
Luckily, no one was inside the vehicles.
